This was so children could help their parents with the spring planting and the fall harvesting. I've never been to school in August.<br />There's a big move on, every year, for the school system to return to this arrangement. The push is made by the theme parks because they need the youth to work at the parks.<br />Thank you for your take on Mr. Eastwood's speech at the RNC. The next day I heard a "comedian" talk, with more than a hint of meanness, about how Mr. Eastwood stumbled over his speech.<br />I thought, "well now, young buck, when you've reached the ripe age of 82 AND accomplished what Mr. Eastwood has accomplished, I'll be more of a mind to listen.
